Natixis Global Asset Management (NGAM) were sharing its premises with Natixis Bank in Canon Street. Growing out of space, NGAM decided to move to their own building and chose 1 Carter lane as their new base.
Being their first exclusive office, NGAM wanted to make sure that the space reflects them as a business and represents their culture. They wanted a space that is collaborative, encourages communication between different teams and is client facing.
As a global organisation, it was important that the office location has presence and this needs to be reflected within the design. Being in 1 Carter Lane, the office space benefits from a spectacular view of St. Paul’s Cathedral, which also reflects on the front façade of 1 Carter Lane. This was the main drive behind the concept created for NGAM which is called “Reflections of St. Pauls”. The office design was to combine the history and heritage of St. Paul’s with the agility, interaction and collaboration of a modern office.
The office design is a true representation of the influence of the location and architecture on the interior design, and how the interiors can reflect and adapt the different architectural elements to create a truly unique and genuine space.
